Apple iPhone 15 and 15 Plus Look: Dynamic Island, New Colours, with USB-C 2023

September 18, 2023

The iPhone 15 from Apple already feels more advanced than the iPhone 14.

There is now an iPhone 15. At its “Wonderlust” event on Tuesday in Cupertino, California, Apple unveiled the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus along with a plethora of other products, including the new Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

The addition of Dynamic Island, the animated feature that provides contextual information at the top of the screen and debuted on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max last year, to the iPhone 15 series is one of the major new features. The arrival of USB-C, which has taken on the role of the Lightning connection for wired connectivity and charging, was also widely reported.

For as long as you’re activating with a carrier, prices start at $799 (£799, AU$1,499) for the 128GB iPhone 15 and $899 (£899, AU$1,649) for the 128GB iPhone 15 Plus. Preorders start now, and the phones will be on sale the following Friday, September 22.

The Dynamic Island appears to be the same one that debuted with the iPhone 14 Pro in 2022. It functions as a kind of auxiliary display that lets users watch media playing, sports scores, ridesharing status, and other data without switching between applications.

Apple has announced a 6.1-inch iPhone 15 and a larger 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Plus; there is no “mini” iPhone 15, as was the case with the iPhone 14 series in 2022. The panels this year have brightness levels of up to 2,000 nits.

The new phones come in pink, yellow, green, blue, and black, among other colours. The iPhone 15’s primary camera is now 48 megapixels, and in addition to generating higher-quality photographs and movies, it now has a new 2x telephoto zoom (although  limited  only to 12 megapixels). That’s a substantial improvement over the 12-megapixel camera system on the iPhone 14, though it’s difficult to say how much of a difference it actually makes without using it more.

But there are other differences besides colour. The iPhone 15 from Apple has a unique colour-infused back glass that gives it a frosty, transparent appearance. So far, this new matte covering is less sensitive to fingerprint smudges than the glossy iPhone 14.

The A16 Bionic, which appeared in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max last year, is the processor powering the device. (Last year’s iPhone 14 and 14 Plus operated on the A15 Bionic.) Despite Apple’s refusal to disclose battery numbers, the iPhone 15 series features a bigger battery.

A number of previous iPhone features, such as 5G and satellite communication for emergencies, are still included in the new smartphones. The ability to request roadside assistance via satellite is new for this year, courtesy to Apple’s partnership with AAA in the United States. While Apple promises free satellite connectivity for two years with the purchase of an iPhone 15, roadside assistance is only accessible with AAA membership. The next iPhones will be compatible with MagSafe and new accessories that utilise the Qi2 wireless charging standard, which was introduced earlier this year, in addition to USB-C.

Overall, the Dynamic Island, the crisper camera, USB-C charging, and the redesigned design make the iPhone 15 feel like a bigger jump forward than the iPhone 14 from the previous year.It appears to be the most significant improvement to the standard iPhone since the iPhone 12—even if it is still one step below the iPhone 15 Pro.

How to choose the perfect colour for your new iPhone

It’s a done deal! At the “Wonderlust” launch event on September 12, 2023, Apple unveiled the eagerly anticipated iPhone 15 Series in a variety of new hues. Everyone loves the new colours the iPhone 15 comes in, in addition to its great appearance and performance improvements. We are here to inform you everything if you are curious about the hues that the iPhone 15 series is available in.

With its prior colour choices, Apple has achieved some amazing things. Apple never fails to thrill its followers, whether it’s with the magnificent Sierra Blue on the iPhone 13 Pro or the breathtaking Deep Purple on the iPhone 14 Pro. Additionally, the IT behemoth lived up to all the hype and expectations this year. You can find all the information regarding iPhone 15 colours here.

iPhone 15 plus colours

Like every year, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have the same colour palette. The base iPhone 15 models come in black, green, yellow, pink, and blue as options.

On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max come in lovely titanium colours: blue titanium, natural titanium, black titanium, and white titanium (also sharing the same colours; nothing shocking here).

iPhone 15 and 15 Plus colours:

  • Black
  • Green
  • Yellow
  • Pink
  • Blue

iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max colours:

  • Blue Titanium
  • Natural Titanium
  • Black Titanium
  • White Titanium

Which colour is the best?

Having said that, we firmly advise you to choose a gadget that not only complements your wardrobe but also your personality. When it comes to the outer appearance, the new iPhone 15 series can be your best option if you enjoy light hues. The Black Titanium of the iPhone 15 Pro series could just be what you’ve been looking for if you want something basic that works with everything. Whatever colour of iPhone you choose, keep in mind that a cover may go a long way and that you can purchase a variety of skins to continue customising the colour and style of the device after you’ve bought it.

The different types of colours available

All things considered, analyst Ming-Chi Ku stated the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models will be offered in black, yellow, blue, pink, and green a day after Apple revealed its September 12 event. According to these rumours, Apple may thus provide any of the following:

  • Midnight/Black
  • Starlight/White
  • Yellow
  • Blue
  • Orange/Pink
  • Green

Although the rumoured lineup does not include a red colour, it is likely that Apple will update the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in the spring of 2024 with a PRODUCT (RED) edition, as it did in the springs of 2017 and 2018. Apple also added a new yellow colour option for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in March 2023, so it’s possible that the iPhone 15 and similar models may get yet another new colour early in the following year.

In Cupertino, California, Apple held a “Wonderlust” event where the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus were announced. The phones have USB-C charging, which replaces the Lightning connection for wired charging and communication, and Dynamic Island, an animated feature that gives contextual information. Preorders for the 128GB iPhone 15 and 128GB iPhone 15 Plus begin on Friday. Prices start at $799 and $899, respectively.

The 48-megapixel primary camera in the iPhone 15 boasts a new 2x telephoto zoom, which is a substantial upgrade from the iPhone 14’s 12-megapixel system. The phone’s new colour-infused back glass gives it a frosty, transparent appearance, while the A16 Bionic processor within gives it that effect. Additionally, the iPhone 15 line offers emergency 5G and satellite connectivity, as well as the option to contact AAA for roadside assistance through satellite, thanks to a partnership between AAA and the US.

The latest iPhones will function with MagSafe and feature Qi2 wireless charging in addition to USB-C. Thanks to the Dynamic Island, a clearer camera, USB-C charging, and a new design, the iPhone 15 feels like a bigger improvement than the iPhone 14 from the previous year.

In the past, Apple’s colour palette has been excellent; the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus base versions come in black, green, yellow, pink, and blue. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, on the other hand, are available in four different titanium colours: blue titanium, natural titanium, black titanium, and white titanium.

It’s likely that Apple may update the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in spring 2024 with a PRODUCT (RED) edition, as it did in spring 2017 and spring 2018. Although a red colour isn’t in the rumoured lineup,

What is the difference between the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus?

Apple’s iPhone 15 Plus doesn’t deviate too much from the norm. Just the screen size and battery make the biggest differences. Both of these new models include a camera update that is taken from the Pro range of 2022 and are powered by the A16 chip from last year.

Which iPhone 15 colour?

There will be five more colour options for the upcoming iPhone 15, in addition to black. In addition, there will be four textured titanium colours for the new iPhone 15 Pro: black, white, blue, and natural. Additionally receiving the four-colour titanium treatment is the Pro Max.

Is the iPhone 15 the same as the iPhone 14?

Surprisingly, the iPhone 15 is a significant improvement over the iPhone 14. There are many things to discuss, from the updated design and Dynamic Island to the new processor and USB-C connector on the bottom. They both offer the same basic experience, so they aren’t dramatically different iPhones.

Does the iPhone 15 have a SIM?

The iPhone 15 in the US only accepts eSIM.

You won’t receive a physical SIM card with an iPhone 15 if you buy it in the United States, whether from Apple or your carrier.
